Maja Blanca is an easy dessert to make in the Philippines
Maja blanca is made from coconut milk, condensed milk, evaporated milk, whole sweet kernel corn, cornstarch and sugar. This is a FIlipino dessert that is easy to make and the ingredients are common.
How to cook Maja Blanca
Preparing Maja Blanca is quick and easy. This Filipino dessert is something that is meant for those who want to cook at home, All you have to do is cook everything in a pot and arrange it on a tray afterwards.
The first thing to do is to mix the coconut milk, corn, condensed milk, evaporated milk, sugar and 5ooml water in a pot and mix ell until all the ingredients are equal. Let it simmer on low flame. While waiting for it to boil take a bowl and put 300ml water and put 3/4 cup of cornstarch and stir well until the cornstarch dissolves. When the pot boils, slowly pour in the water and cornstarch mixture into the pot and stir until the mixture thickens to a smooth paste consistency. When it’s cooked transfer it to a tray and coll it down and put in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Serve Cold. Enjoy 🙂
Ingredients
- 2cans/sachet of coconut milk
- 1can whole kernel corn
- 1can condensed milk
- 1can evaporated milk
- 3/4cup cornstarch
- 1/2cup sugar
- 800ml water
- cheese
Instructions
- In a pot combine cocomut milk, corn, condensed mlik, evaporated milk, sugar and 500ml water.
- Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Put it on the stove and boil it on a low flame.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and 300ml water until the cornstarch dissolves.
- Pour the cornstarch mixture into the cooking pot and mix well.
- Let it cook while stirring until the mixture thickens to a smooth paste consistecy.
- Pour the mixture into a serving tray then arrange and flatten the top with a flat tool spatula.
- Add grated cheese.
- Let cool then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Serve cool, Enjoy.
