Mount Isarog located in the province of Camarines Sur, is an amazing view to see in the Bicol Region. It has a height of 2011masl (6,600ft) and has an area of about 10,122 hectares. It is also called “Vulcan De Agua” by the locals because of its lush forest and waterfalls such as Malabsay Falls, Nabuntalan Falls and Consocep Falls. The first highlight of climbing the Panicuason trail is the waterfalls before reaching camp1 which is about 2 hours away from the jump-off point. Mount.Isarog is surrounded by mossy forest throughout the trail. The path to be followed is moderately difficult.

From the campsite it takes 2 hours to reach Mt.Isarog summit. On the view deck of the summit a distant Mount Mayon can be seen a vast expanse of the land can also be seen here.

While walking to the summit you will see a lot of flora and fauna in the area. There are also many endemic creatures such as rats, frogs, and snakes.

The Panicuason Trail is a common route taken by hikers but apart from this there are also Patag-Patag trail and Goa trail. It’s worth going here because of the beautiful scenery you’ll see. You won’t feel tired once you’re at the summit. Apart from Mt.Isarog you can visit many toursit spots near here. The trail here takes a 2 days depending on the time of yout trip. There are five campsites to pass before reaching the Summit. So no need to worry as long as you bring only things you need to set up your tent and food.
