How to make Lumpiang (Mung bean sprouts) Togue

Lumpiang Togue

Lumpiang Togue is a varation of spring roll that uses “Mung bean sprouts” as the main ingredients instead of meat. This is a popular dish or snack in the Philippines that is dippe in vinegar with chili, onion and cucumber (optional).


Ingredients of lumpiang togue

  • 1lb togue (Mung bean Sprout)
  • 1meduim size caroot (sliced)
  • 1clove garlic (minced)
  • 1meduim size onion (cut)
  • fish sauce or salt
  • 1/4 dried shrimps or ground pork (optional)
  • 1 fried tofu (optional)
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • Spring roll wrapper
  • Oil

Lumpiang togue is a type of snack or dish whose ingredients are vegetables dipped in vinegar.

How to Cook Lumpiang Togue

  1. Heat the pan and add oil.
  2. When the oil is hot. Saute garlic and onion.
  3. Add dried shrimps or ground pork and cook for 1-3 minutes.
  4. Add fish sauce or salt adnd ground black pepper.
  5. Add togue (mung bean sprouts) and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Add carrots and cook for another 3 minutes.
  7. Remove from the pan and let it cool.
  8. Wrap the cooked vegetables in a spring roll (lumpia) wrapper.
  9. Heat the pan and add oil.
  10. Deep fry the wrapped spring rolls until the color of the wrapper turns golden brown.
  11. Remove from the pan and place on the strainer or tissue paper to remove excess oil.
  12. Transfer to a serving plate.
  13. Serve with vinegar.
  14. Eat and Enjoy 🙂

  1. Cut the onion into small pieces.
  2. Finely chop the garlic
  3. Cut the cucumber into cubes.
  4. Cut the red chile into small pieces.
  5. Put all the ingredients in a bowl
  6. Add Vinegar
  7. Add salt, and taste it.
