This is also one of the most popular tourist spot in Tawi-Tawi, before you get here you need to rent a boat, the travel depends on which vessel you use such as “speed boat or pump boat”. The boat rent depend on how many people you have. There is a cottage here that you can use because it’s free. No one will stay overnight here. If you take a tour package your food is included, but otherwise you should bring your own food because there is nothing to buy here. The boat rental is located in Bongao town.

Bud Bongao Peak– is a popular hiking destinaton in Tawi-Tawi that is highlighted by the region’s rich biodiversity. it has 1030feet above sea level. It takes about 2 hours to reach the peak. Its jump off is in Simunol. Enjoy the magnificent view of Bongao town and neighboring islands, catch the sunrise or wait for the a spectacular sunset from the top. It is also home to thousands of monkeys. It is locate in Simunol.
The main peak of Bud Bangao has a huge shelter that can easily accommodate a hundred tourists. It’s completely paved, overlooking the ocean making it a perfect place to recover from surprisingly tiring climb. You will definitely enjoy trekking here because the trail has 3608 step from jump off, but it’s worth it because scenery you’ll see and if you’re really a nature lover you’ll appreciate the beauty of the place.
Bud Bongao open daily from 06:00AM-03:00PM. The entrance fee here is almost Php50.00.
Sheik Makhdum Mosque– This is the oldest mosque in the Philippines. It was built by an Arab merchant named Shiekh Makhdum Karim in 1380 from whom the mosque was named after. It is located in Tubigindangan, Simunul.

Gusong Reef– offers one of the best diving experiences in the Philippines. The coral reef is known for its pristine condition and is full of a variety of colorful and spectacular aquarium and non-aquarium species. it is located in Cagayan de Tawi-Tawi.

Turtle Islands– also known as “Taganak Island” serves as a breeding site for the endangered Philippine Turtle. It is located in Taganak.

Balobok Rock Shelter– is a cave by the constant pounding of ocean waves and weathering factors. Archaeoligists have unearthed, bone tools, flake tools, and some animal remains in Balobok Rock Shelter. It is located in Bryg.Lakit-lakit, Bongao. You can ride a tricycle to get here as long as you tell the driver where you are going. The travel is approximately 1 hour.

Sangay Siapo Island– offers the same charm as Panampangan Island with its white island beaches and crystal-clear turquoise water. It is located in Simunul and the boat travel is 30 minutes.
