Chawa view deck is located on the road leading to Mahatao. This is also the first tourist spot in South Batan. The view is beautiful. it’s inviting to look at the scenery. The Mahatao Port is a shelter for boats when there is a storm and strong waves.
The real name of this area is Rakuh A Payaman, However, this tourist spot is now known as Marlboro Hills because of what one tourist said It Looks like “Marlboro Country”. The wind is strong here, the area is wide.
This is the famous spot in Batanes. You can see a lot like that in Batanes because of the curvy roads, but they only have one place that can be photographed so that it is not dangerous for tourists.

Sabtang Boat ride is about 30 minutes.
The houses here facing door in the south because the typhoon often comes from the north. There is also a basement here and that is where they put their pets when there is a typhoon. The houses here are made of stone, coral and lime.
