Chop suey is a healthy Philippine food recipe

Chop suey is a healthy Philippine food recipe

Chop suey– is a vegetable recipe mixed with stewed quail eggs, chicken breast, soy sauce and oyster sauce. Which will be filled with cornstarch with water to thicken its broth. This dish is tasty and nutritious due to the vegetable that it mixes.

Ingredients

  • 1pc meduim size of bell pepper (cut into stripe)
  • 1pc small size of broccoli (chopped)
  • 10pcs of quail eggs
  • 1pc small size of carrot (sliced into circle shape)
  • 1pc small size of cauliflower (chopped)
  • 1pc meduim size of onion (chopped)
  • 5pcs cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 1tablespoon of cornstarch wit 1/2 cup of water (mix well)
  • 1pc small size of cabbage (chopped)
  • 250grams of chicken breast (chopped into cubes)
  • 3tablespoon of soysauce
  • 2tablespoon of oyster sauce
  • 1tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 1cup of water

how to cook

  • Put oil in the pan. When the oil is hot add chopped onion and garlic. Mix it for a few minutes until it’s cooked.
  • Add chicken breast. Mix it and let it cook for 5 minutes
  • Put the soy suace and oyster sauce, mix it and put 1 cup of water
  • When it is simmered, add the cauliflower, broccoli and sliced bell pepper. Stir to mix and let it simmer for about 3 minutes on low heat.
  • Add the carrots and let it simmer for another 3minutes or until it softens
  • Add chopped cabbage. Mix it, and let it cook for 1 minute
  • Pour the cornstarch water mixture and mix it to thicken the sauce
  • Turn off the fire and put the quial egg. Stir for one more time.
  • Ready to eat. Enjoy your food 🙂
