How to cook bicol express
This is famous food in the Bicol area. It is made of coconut milk, shrimp paste, pork, chilies, onion and garlic.
Ingredients
- 1 kilo pork (Slice into cubes)
- 4 chili red and green (slice)
- 1 pc knorr pork cube
- 2 cups coconut milk (there is also a sachet of coconut milk that can be used)
Thick coconut milk is first squeeze, Thin coconut mlik is second squeeze.
- 1 piece onion meduim size (chopped)
- 2 tablespoon of shrimp paste
- 5 cloves garlic (minced)
- Salt and pepper
how to cook it :
- take the pan and heat it.
- Add the pork and stir unti it turns light brown
- Put the onion, garlic and stir it
- Put the shrimp paste. Stir it
- Put (2nd coconut squeeze mlik) thin coconut mlik and boil it
- check the pork if it is tender
- Add black pepper, chili green and put a (1st squeeze coconut mlik) thick coconut milk again
- lower the heat and wait for it to boil again
- add salt to taste
- cook for 10-15 more minutes or until the sauce is thicker
- when it doesn’t haave much sauce add chili red (it depends on the spicy you want).
It is ready to eat. Enjoy the food.
