It is a mountain village in Kalinga, in the Luzon Cordilleras. Here you will find Whang-od Oggay is a Filipino tattoo artist from Buscalan, Tinglayan, Kalinga. Visitors from all over the world visit Buscalan for the chance to be inked by the oldest artist in the Philippines. She has been tattooing for almost 80 years. Before getting here you have to trek for about 1 hour depending on your walk. The road is surrounded by trees and plants. After you get tattooed or go trekking, you can go to your accommodation or feel free to explore the village and get a tattoo from the local mambabatoks.

DIY Travel Via Bus

Manila to Tinglayan via Tabuk City, Kalinga

• From Cubao Terminal you can take a bus straight to Tabuk.
• From Tabuk, get into a jeep bound for Tinglayan, alight at Bugnay

Manila to TInglayan via Bontoc, Ifugao

• From Cubao, you can take a Coda Lines bus to Bontoc
• Alight at Bontoc then take a bus or jeep to Tabuk,
• From Tabuk, get into a jeep bound to Tinglayan, alight at Bugnay
