Tourist spot in Apayao 2024
Apayao is known for it’s lush forests, spectacular caves and prestine rivers.
Lussok Cave and Underground River
This is a famous tourist spot in Luna Apayao. It is open everyday until 8:00AM-4:00PM. You have to use a boat to get around the place. The boat fee is Php200.00/head. The place is beautiful, the water is clear and clean, the chirping of birds is relaxing. When you enter the cave, you will see many different rock formations that can be seen here. Each rock formation here also has names. There are also bats to be seen here, at the very end of the lussok cave, this water has a depth of 35feet. Tour the place is just 30minutes.
Dupag Rock Formation
It is located in Brgy.Marag Luna, Apayao. The payment here is Php200.00/head. before you get here you have to trek for about 30minutes from jump point. You just have to wear a helmet when you go here, don’t worry because it is included in the fee. While trekking, there is also a river to cross here, But it is only low when there is no rain. Just be careful when traveling because it is slippery and there are sharo rocks,. It is worth the hard work and fatigue when you came here.
Bayugao Falls
It is located in Brgy.Turod Luna, Apayao. From the jump point you have to walk more than 1km because vehicles cannot enter because the road is being repaired. Going here, you alsp have a staircase down that you can pass, it is more than 200steps. The place is clean and tidy, it is relaxing to listen to the falling water from the falls. The place is surrounded by plants and trees. You will enjoy your visit here.

Manila to Junction Luna Via BUS
Take a florida Bus or RCJ going to Junction Luna in Abulug, Cagayan. Their terminals are both located in Sampaloc Manila and Cubao. Travel time takes around 12 hours via Tuguegarao and 14 hours via Ilocos. At Junction Luna terminla, transfer to a tricycle going to Poblacion Luna, approximately 10 minutes ride.
By Air Via Laoag
Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific fly to Laoag daily from Manila, travel time is an hour. From Laoag International Airport, there are tricycles and public jeepneys that can take you to Laoag City proper where you can catch any bus going to Junction Luna travel time takes four to five hours.Get off at Junction Luna in Abulug Cagayan and transfer to a tricycle going to Poblacion Luna, approximately 10minutes ride.
By Air Via Tuguegarao
Philippine Airlinesw and Cebu Pacific fly to Tuguegarao daily from Manila, travel time is an hour. From Tuguegarao Airport, get a tricycle to take you to bus or van terminal going to Junction Luna in Abulug Cagayan and transfer to a tricycle going ti Poblacion Luna, approximately 10minutes ride.
