Falls and mountain in Tanay Rizal
Tanay Rizal: The famous in Tanay Rizal are “waterfalls” especially the ‘Daranak falls’. These are the ones that can be visited here:
Daranak Falls
It is located in Brgy. Tandang Kutyo of municipaliy of Tanay Rizal. It is a popular shooting location for commercials, TV shows and for movies in the 2000’s to 2010’s. It is sorrounded by green plants and it’s perfect for swimming. There are also cottages here that you can rent. There is also a locker here where you can leave important item. The flight here takes about 2-3hours from Metro Manila. It is just over 2kilometers from the signage at the entrance from Sampaloc Road. The entrance is about 2-3minute walk from the parking area. The entrance fee for adult isPhp75.00 while children is Php50.00. The Picnic shed is Php300.00 while Picnic table is Php200.00. Available time is 8:00AM-5:00PM.
Calinawan Cave
They have 3 layers called. Layer 1 is high ceiling and the road is quite wide. The second layer is lowered ceiling and zero visibility. It is historical significance extends as it was a meeting place for Filipino rebels during the Spanish Colonial period. Tour guide fee is Php200.00 maximum of 5 persons. Entrance fee is Php50.00.
Calinawan River
It is only 10 to 15minutes from Daranak Falls. When you get here from the parking lot to the river, it is about 15-20minutes it depend on you because it is low just be careful on the way maybe you might slip. The air is also fresh because you’re surrounded by trees. The entrance fee here is Php40.00 per head.
MT.Daraitan
One of the famous hiking places here in Tanay Rizal, You can also go camping here. This mountain has a height of 739meters or 2424feet from the surface of the water. Just be careful on the road is quite steep. At the first station you will see a cave where bats live. When you come here, you will be amazed at what you will see, It is so beautiful that it is really worth your effort. You can also tour it because you can see many rock formations here. You can also see here the “heart peak”. Just walk slowly because the road is very steep. The hike here is approximately 3-4 hours depending on your rest.
Tinupak River
From Mt.Daraitan you can ride a tricycle going here with a fare of Php50.00 (Vice Versa). The place is beautiful and it is also surrounded by trees and plants. It’s really worth it for you to go here.

Via Commute
You can ride a jeep Cubao to Antipolo. Get off at Ynares Center then take another jeep to Tanay. The flight takes about 1 and half hours.
Via Private Car
Just pin the location on maps or waze towards Tanay Rizal. The flight takes about 1hour.
