How to cook Bulalo
Bulalo is a dish in the Philippines. This bulalo is famous in the Tagaytay area, all the restaurants there have it on their menu. It is especially delicious when the broth is piping hot and dipped in a spicy fish sauce with lime and chili red. Try my recipe to tase it too. š
Ingredients
1kilo beef shank (bone in)
1piece small cabbage (cut into 6)
1 Bundle Pechay (Leaves Seperated)
2 Pcs Corn ( cut into 3 parts)
Pepper corn (2 table spoon)
Onion (peeled and Quarted)
Fish Sauce (depending on the amount you want or the flavor you want)
2 Stalks onion leeks white part and green part seperated
Water (as needed)
how to cook
Step1: Put water in the pressure cooker but if you don’t have a pressure cooker you can use a large pot with medium heat, Put the beef, add water to cover the meat. Boil it for more than 10 minutes and remove the meat after boiling, discard the water and rinse the pot.
Step2: Return the meat and add enough water and boil it again for 1 and half hours (30 minutes if using pressure cooker) until the meat is tender, then add the onion and peppercorn.
Step3: Add the corn and cabbage, simmer for another 10 minutes.
Step4: Add fish sauce, pechay.
Taste it according to your taste preference. Ready to serve š
