How to cook Pork Mesentery (Chicharon Bulaklak)

  • Step1: Place the Pork Mesentery (chicharon bulaklak) in a big pot, Pour water about 2 inches above the pork mesentery.

  • Step2: Add the bay leaf, peppercorn, garlic and 1-2 tablespoon of salt.

  • Step3: Boil it for 45minutes to 1 hour
  • Step4: Remove the mesentery from the pot until it drains.
  • Step5: Set it aside until cool down.
  • Step6: When it is cold you can start frying it. If you want small pieces you can cut it but it depends on you what size you want.

  • Step7: Add oil to the deep fryer and heat to the highest setting. Deep fry for 3-5minutes and the other side.

  • Step8: Just continue deep frying until it turns golden brown and drain it in a strainer for excess oil.

  • Step3: Cut the cucumber into cubes.
  • Step4: Cut the red chili into small pieces.

  • Step6: Add vinegar.
  • Step7: Add salt, and taste it.
